Store Connections
What if I already have listings on eBay?
If you already have listings on eBay, you have the option to either end them early and import them from your store to list as new on eBay, or if you want to retain your sales history on your good til canceled eBay listings, you can choose to map your store products to your existing eBay listings. This way, you can continue to use your existing listings while also being able to update them from your store.
Can I choose which products to import?
Yes, you can choose which products to import.
When importing from your store, you have the ability to manually select which products you would like to import and list on eBay. This allows you to have full control over the products you list and manage on the marketplace.
Do my new store products automatically import to inkFrog?
No, new store products do not automatically import to inkFrog.
Since you have the ability to manually select which products to import and list on eBay, when you add new products to your store, you need to go to your store import page and click on refresh if needed, then continue on with importing and listing the new products to eBay. This way you have full control over which products are listed on eBay, and you can ensure that only the products you want to list are being imported.
Can I send a lower quantity to eBay than what's available on my store?
Yes, it is possible to send a lower quantity to eBay.
You may want to consider sending a lower quantity to eBay and using inkFrog's sync settings to automatically restock the quantity on eBay as needed. This way, you can ensure that your inventory levels are always accurate and prevent overselling.
Listings
Can I list to other markets like eBay.ca, eBay.co.uk, and others?
Yes, you can use inkFrog to list to other eBay marketplaces.
One of the most powerful features of inkFrog is the ability to take a single product and list it on multiple different markets. This allows you to expand your reach and increase your sales. To list to other marketplaces, simply choose the market you want to list to on the lister. This way you can easily list your products to multiple eBay marketplaces using a single account.
Can I use the same sku number in separate eBay listings?
Unfortunately, inkFrog does not currently provide the option to use the same SKU number on multiple eBay listings. If duplicate SKUs are detected, the system will automatically adjust them by adding -1, -2, etc to the end, depending on the number of copies of the SKU in the account.
However, we are always working to improve the service and we are looking forward to supporting duplicate SKUs in a future release.
How can I list faster and save time?
There are several ways to list faster and save time when using inkFrog. One of the best ways is to create and use multiple profiles (prefills) that contain information that is used frequently. This way, you can quickly and easily pre-fill the lister with the necessary information, reducing the amount of time you spend on each listing. Another way to list faster is to use the feature that allows you to duplicate saved library items. You can duplicate an item, edit the new item and use it to rebuild a new listing. This can save a lot of time, especially if you are listing similar items. Using a combination of profiles and saved library items can help you list faster and save time.
How do I create a multi sku listing?
To create a new multi-SKU listing, you need to first select a category that is eligible for multi-SKU. Once you have selected the category, you will see the option for "multi-SKU" in the drop-down menu of the "listing format" section. If you choose this format, you will see the variation and setup options that allow you to create your multi-SKU listing. You will need to fill in the necessary information for each variation such as the title, price, quantity and images for each variation. Once you have filled in all the required fields, you can then proceed to list the item. It's important to note that not all categories on eBay support multi-SKU listings, so you need to make sure that the category you are trying to list in supports it before you proceed with creating a multi-SKU listing.
What does the link button mean in each of the sections of the listing page?
The link button allows you to attach a profile (sub-profile) to your listing. Attaching or 'linking' a profile is a great way to manage your listings.
When you attach a profile to a listing, any change made to the profile will automatically update all of the listings that have been linked to it. This is particularly useful if you have multiple listings that share similar information, as you only need to make changes to one profile, and all linked listings will be updated.
For example, if you have a profile that contains your shipping information and you attach it to multiple listings, updating the shipping information in the profile will automatically update the shipping information on all of the linked listings, regardless of whether they are live on eBay or not.
In summary, the link button allows you to link a profile to a listing, and any changes made to the profile will automatically update the linked listing. This makes managing multiple listings with similar information much more efficient.
What does the save button do on the listing page?
The save button allows you to save the information you have entered on the listing page for future use. When you are done creating a listing or have filled in some parts of the listing page that you want to save for prefilling (to use over and over again), you can click on the save button. The save button has different options such as:
- Save to Library: This allows you to save the listing to your library for later use.
- Save (to library) and launch to eBay: This allows you to save the listing to your library and immediately launch it on eBay.
- Save and create a master profile: This allows you to save the information you have filled in on the listing page and create a master profile using that information. This master profile can then be used for future listings, saving you time and effort in having to re-enter the same information.
The save button is a useful tool that allows you to efficiently manage and organize your listings, by saving the information you have entered for future use.
Profiles
What is the purpose of using profiles?
Profiles are "prefills" which allow you to pre-fill frequently used information on the listing page. By using profiles, you can create listings extremely quickly and efficiently. inkFrog offers several types of profiles that give sellers powerful and unique options for their specific listing style.
- Master Profiles: These allow you to create prefills for all the information on the listing page, and can be used to attach sub-profiles together, like payment, shipping, and return profiles. They are the 'master' of all profiles and act as a combination of all other profiles. For example, you can have a master profile which you name "Free Shipping - 7-Day Returns" and this profile will load a shipping profile that offers free shipping and a return profile that offers 7-day returns.
- Listing Profiles: These are sub-profiles that allow you to save your frequently used details like category, item specifics, auction format, and price.
- Shipping Profiles: These are sub-profiles that allow you to save your frequently used shipping details.
- Return Profiles: These are sub-profiles that allow you to save your frequently used return details.
- Payment Profiles: These are sub-profiles that allow you to save your frequently used payment details.
Using profiles can significantly speed up your listing process and help you to maintain consistency across all your listings. And also when you update any of your profile all the listings that are linked to that profile will also be updated.
How do I attach or "link" a profile to a listing?
To link a profile to a listing, follow these steps:
- Log in to your inkFrog account and navigate to the listing page.

- Click on the link button and a drop-down menu will appear with a list of all the profiles you have created.
- Select the profile you want to attach to the listing.
- Once you have attached the profile, it will be linked to that listing.
- Any changes you make to the profile will automatically update the linked listing.
It is important to note that you can link multiple profiles to a single listing, such as a shipping profile and a payment profile. Once a profile is linked to a listing, it will follow the listing wherever it goes and any revision made to the profile will update the linked listing, even live listings.
How do I use a profile to prefill the listing page?

- Log in to your inkFrog account and navigate to the listing page.
- At the top of the page, you will see a 'prefill' button.

- After you have prefilled the listing, you can edit and make any necessary changes before you save and launch your listing.
Using profiles to pre-fill the listing page is a great way to save time and maintain consistency across all your listings. This way you can have all your frequently used details saved in the profile, so you don't have to enter them each time you create a listing.
What does the prefill button do on the listing page?
The prefill button on the listing page allows you to quickly populate the listing page with information from a saved profile. This can include details such as category, item specifics, auction format, price, shipping, and return information. By using a pre-filled profile, you save time and ensure consistency across your listings. The prefill button is located at the top of the listing page and when you click on it, it will display a drop-down menu with a list of all the profiles you have created. You can select one or multiple profiles to pre-fill the listing page and then edit and make any necessary changes before you save and launch your listing.
Library
What is the library?
With inkFrog, you have access to a library for all of the listings you create. This library serves as a convenient storage solution for your listings, even old ones, and can be used as a reference for building new listings. Any updates made to your library listings will also be reflected on the attached listing on eBay.
What is the purpose of library?
The purpose of the library is to provide a central location for managing and organizing listings on eBay. It allows users to quickly find, update, and manage their listings, as well as create new ones, using cloud storage.
How can I use the library to find my listed items?
To find your listed items in the library, you can use the built-in search function and filters. The filter menu allows you to create custom filters based on various criteria, such as live status and date created. For example, you can create a filter for live listings that were created on Monday. This will allow you to quickly and easily find the listings you are looking for. Additionally, you can combine various filters to narrow down your search results even more.
How do I make sure my library updates sync properly to my live/unsold/sold eBay listings?
To ensure that your library is updated, you can check the sync settings in your account. These settings are usually located in the 'Settings' section of your account. By default, virtually all changes made to your listings in the library will be synced to your live listings on eBay, but you can check the sync settings to make sure. It's worth noting that there are some cases where eBay may prevent certain revisions from being made to live listings, such as revising the description within 12 hours of the item ending, in that case those changes won't get synced.
If I update my library listing will it automatically update/revise my listing on eBay?
If you update your library listings, your live listings on eBay will also be updated. InkFrog will automatically sync the changes made to your library listings to your live listings on eBay. This allows you to make changes and updates to your listings in one central location, without having to manually update each listing on eBay. However, it's worth noting that there are some cases where eBay may prevent certain revisions from being made to live listings, such as revising the description within 12 hours of the item ending, in that case those changes won't get synced.
Templates
Can I use my own custom template?
Yes, you can use your own custom template when listing items on eBay using the library. To do this, you can go to the 'Templates' section from the left navigation menu and click on the 'Create new' button. You will then be prompted to choose whether to use your own template or the template builder provided. If you choose to use your own template, you will be provided with the necessary HTML tags that you need to include in order for the template to work with the library's listing feature. This process is quite simple and straightforward.
Do templates actually increase sales?
There is evidence that using templates can increase sales on eBay. Studies have shown that when templates are used correctly, they can make a listing appear more professional and attractive to potential buyers. A well-designed template can give the impression that the seller is experienced and trustworthy, which can help to increase the likelihood of a sale.
However, it's important to remember that templates alone will not guarantee increased sales. They should be used in conjunction with other best practices for listing items on eBay, such as providing detailed product descriptions, high-quality images, and competitive pricing. Additionally, it can be beneficial to personalize your template by including your own logo, as it can help to establish your brand and create a sense of trust and familiarity with your buyers.
Does inkFrog have prebuilt templates?
Yes, inkFrog offers a variety of prebuilt templates that are optimized for mobile devices and can be customized to fit your needs. These templates can be found in the 'Templates' section of the left navigation menu, or you can choose one directly from the listing page while creating a new listing. It's worth noting that you can also use your own HTML template, you will have to input the correct tags for the fields that you want to use in your listing.
Creating a template can be a great way to save time and effort when listing items on eBay, and can help to make your listings more professional and appealing to potential buyers.
How do templates affect mobile?
Templates do not generally have a negative impact on the mobile experience for buyers. Most mobile purchases on eBay are made from tablets or iPads, which offer a full web browsing experience and can display templates as they would appear on a desktop computer. On the other hand, when a purchase is made from a mobile phone, the templates are automatically stripped out by eBay.
However, this does not mean that templates are not useful for mobile buyers, as they can still help to make your listings stand out and appear more professional.
When creating a template, it's important to keep in mind that it should not be too wide and should use mostly new CSS standards, this way it will make it more mobile friendly. When using inkFrog's template builder or prebuilt templates, you can rest assured that they are mobile optimized and designed to work seamlessly on all devices. Using a mobile optimized template can be an advantage and will make your listing stand out among the rest.
In summary, templates when done correctly, do not affect the mobile experience and continue to be a great way to separate your listing from others.
