Master, Shipping, Return, Listing, and Payment Profiles
Master Profiles
Options within the master profile page are to create a new master profile, edit, rename, copy, or delete. Master profiles are used to create new listings and cannot be used to edit existing listings.
Bulk editing may be done using sub profiles (listing, payment, shipping, and return profiles).
The master profiles allow you to create prefills for everything field that is available on the create listing page and can be used to attach sub profiles together (like payment, shipping, return profiles).
When creating a new master profile, you're automatically taken to the create new listing page. Fill out as much or as little detail as you'd prefer and then choose Save → Save as a master profile.
Once save as a master profile is selected, the ability to name the profile, add an optional description, and save as an existing profile are available.
Profile Name: Make it memorable, easy to identify. The profile name is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Description: A descriptions of the profile is optional and is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Save as existing profile: Offers the ability to overwrite an existing master profile with the new details.
Once complete, select the Save Profile button. Once saved, the master profile will be available to prefill the create new listing page.
Shipping Profiles
Options within the shipping profiles page are to create a new shipping profile, edit, rename, copy, delete, and view listings (linked to that particular profile). Shipping profiles are used to create new listings and also may be used to edit existing listings.
Creating Shipping Profiles
When creating a new shipping profile, be sure to fill out all of the necessary fields.
Profile Name: Make it memorable, easy to identify. The profile name is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Description: A descriptions of the profile is optional and is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Select your eBay account and eBay market.
Select your shipping type, flat, calculated, or a combination depending on whether you ship domestic only or domestic and internationally.
Select your handling time. The shortest time between receiving payment from your customer until the product in the hands of the shipping carrier. It’s best to be realistic and not over promise on your handling time.
Choose your Domestic Shipping Services. You’re able to select Add additional shipping service if you would like to offer your customers a selection at checkout.
Choose your International Shipping Services. You’re able to select Add additional shipping service if you would like to offer your customers a selection at checkout.
If you do not ship internationally, leave the international setting as is.
Select Save
Return Profiles
Options within the return profiles page are to create a new return profile, edit, copy, delete, and view listings (linked to that particular profile). Return profiles are used to create new listings and also may be used to edit existing listings.
Creating Return Profiles
When creating a new return profile, be sure to fill out all of the necessary fields.
Profile Name: Make it memorable, easy to identify. The profile name is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Description: A descriptions of the profile is optional and is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Select your eBay account and eBay market.
Set up your default Return Policy settings. If you do not accept returns, un-select the returns accepted box.
Select Domestic and/or International return policy settings
Select the number of days the item must be returned within. eBay recommends 30 days
Choose how the refund will be offered, who will pay return shipping.
Select Save
Listing Profiles
Options within the listings profiles page are to create a new payment profile, edit, rename, copy, delete, and view listings (linked to that particular profile). Listing profiles are used to create new listings and also may be used to edit existing listings.
Creating Listing Profiles
When creating a new Listing profile, be sure to fill out all of the necessary fields.
Profile Name: Make it memorable, easy to identify. The profile name is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Description: A descriptions of the profile is optional and is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Select your eBay account and eBay market and eBay category
Enter your item location. This is not necessarily your personal location, but rather the location your item ships from.
Other information may be saved within the profile, however, the rest is optional.
Select Save
Payment Profiles
Options within the payment profiles page are to create a new payment profile, edit, rename, copy, delete, and view listings (linked to that particular profile). Payment profiles are used to create new listings and also may be used to edit existing listings.
Creating Payment Profiles
When creating a new Payment profile, be sure to fill out all of the necessary fields.
Profile Name: Make it memorable, easy to identify. The profile name is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Description: A descriptions of the profile is optional and is only view-able to you, not your potential customers
Select your eBay account and eBay market.
Enter your Paypal email address.
Choose your accepted payments & taxes
Checkout instructions are not necessary unless there are special circumstances, such as with custom made products, where there is an extended wait period before the item will be shipped to your customer.
Select Save
Note: It is not necessary to make any changes to the payment profile when using eBay's managed payments.
